# How offers are compared

Coindisco compares the effective result of each eligible quote, not only the provider's advertised fee.

## Inputs that affect an offer

* buy or sell operation;
* country, state, province, or other applicable region;
* fiat currency and amount;
* cryptocurrency and network;
* payment or payout method;
* provider limits and availability;
* current provider and market rates;
* active provider discounts;
* KYC eligibility and previous provider usage.

## Price and context

For each quote, the interface can show price-related labels and checkout-related labels. **Best price** identifies the most favorable effective amount in the current result set. It does not mean that the same provider is best for every user, amount, or payment method.

Provider success rate, KYC state, prior usage, and promotions are separate signals. A user can therefore prefer a slightly different price in exchange for a familiar provider or faster verification.
